Refund Policy

1. Digital Service Nature

I Ching Realm provides digital oracle readings and AI-generated interpretations that are delivered instantly upon request. Due to the nature of these digital services, once a reading or AI Deep Reading has been generated and displayed, the service has been fully consumed and is non-refundable.

2. No-Refund Scenarios

Refunds are not available in the following situations:

• Completed readings: Once an oracle reading or AI Deep Reading has been generated and displayed to you, the digital service has been delivered in full.
• Dissatisfaction with reading content: I Ching readings are interpretive and subjective by nature. You may not always agree with or like the content of a reading, but this does not constitute a service failure.
• Change of mind: Simply changing your mind after receiving a reading does not qualify for a refund.
• Feature misunderstanding: If you did not understand what a feature provides before using it, this does not qualify for a refund. Please review the Service description carefully before use.

3. Eligible Refund Scenarios

We will issue a refund in the following situations:

• Technical failure: If you were charged but the reading was never generated or displayed due to a technical error on our end (not including user-side issues like internet connectivity).
• Duplicate charge: If you were charged twice for the same reading.
• Service unavailability: If you purchased access to a premium feature that was unavailable for more than 48 consecutive hours during your subscription period.
• AI service failure: If you were charged for an AI Deep Reading but the AI response failed to generate entirely (not including partial responses or responses you subjectively found inadequate).

4. How to Request a Refund

If you believe you qualify for a refund under Section 3:

1. Contact us at billing@ichingrealm.com within 14 days of the charge
2. Include your transaction ID or receipt (if applicable)
3. Describe the technical issue or reason for the refund request
4. Allow up to 5 business days for review

Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days, depending on your payment provider.

5. Free Services

The basic I Ching oracle casting experience is free of charge. Since no payment is involved, no refund is applicable. Free features include:

• Six-coin casting and hexagram generation
• Traditional I Ching judgment and image text (卦辞, 象辞)
• Visual hexagram display with changing lines

6. Subscription / Premium Services

If we introduce subscription or premium services in the future:

• Before first use: You may cancel and receive a full refund if you have not yet used the premium service.
• After first use: The no-refund policy in Section 2 applies.
• Auto-renewal: We will send a reminder email at least 7 days before any auto-renewal charge. You may cancel before renewal to avoid charges.

7. Regional Consumer Rights

Certain jurisdictions provide additional consumer protections that override our standard policy:

7.1 European Union / EEA

Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts. However, this right is lost once the digital content has been fully delivered and you have explicitly consented to early delivery while acknowledging the loss of withdrawal rights. When you request an AI Deep Reading, you acknowledge this and the 14-day right of withdrawal no longer applies.

7.2 Brazil (CDC — Código de Defesa do Consumidor)

De acordo com o Art. 49 do Código de Defesa do Consumidor, você tem o direito de arrependimento em até 7 dias após a contratação de serviços não presenciais. No entanto, este direito se aplica apenas a serviços que não foram completamente utilizados. Uma vez que a leitura de IA foi gerada e exibida, o serviço foi consumido em sua totalidade, e o direito de arrependimento não se aplica.

According to Article 49 of Brazil's Consumer Defense Code, you have a 7-day cooling-off period for services contracted outside a commercial establishment. However, this right applies only to services that have not been fully consumed. Once the AI reading has been generated and displayed, the service has been consumed in full, and the cooling-off period no longer applies.

7.3 United States

Federal law does not require a general refund policy. Our refund policy is as stated above. Some states may have additional consumer protection laws that provide further rights.

7.4 Canada

Provincial consumer protection laws may provide additional rights. In particular, Ontario's Consumer Protection Act provides cancellation rights for internet agreements within 10 days, unless the service has been fully consumed.

8. Disputes

If you disagree with a refund decision, you may:

• Request a review by a supervisor by emailing billing@ichingrealm.com
• Contact your payment provider to dispute the charge (note: filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in account suspension)
• File a complaint with your local consumer protection agency
